I made this bento so it can easily be heated in a microwave at lunch. The fruit is in a silicone cup so you can remove it before heating the rest of the meal.
Container: EasyLunchBoxes
Background: Baby zucchini and sunflower seeds
Chicks: Onigiri – made with Japanese rice packed into a cookie cutter, cheddar cheese broiled on top, sprinkle eyes
Fruit: Orange segments with some dried mint
Easter Egg: Onigiri – made with Japanese rice packed into a cookie cutter, brushed frozen berry juice on top (I heated a few frozen berries in a microwave to get the juice)
Those chicks are cute and I couldn’t guess it was rice. Your Easter egg looks exotic like some crystallized stones. I would not eat this art piece!
Thank you so much. I love your description of my bento!
Those chicks are so cute! Your onigiri is so neatly done.
Thank you. I prefer using a rice mold but it is also possible to use cookie cutters and plastic wrap.
Just in time for Easter. Thanks.
I have several Easter bentos planned for this week.
So cute! And I LOVE the mini zucchini! I absolutely adore zucchini & don’t think I’ve seen minis before.
Thank you Karen! I bought the zucchini at Wegmans.
Very nice! Mtetar

My pleasure! Mtetar
