I made this lunch for my friend Arna. When I was a child, I learned the saying, “Make new friends but keep the old. One is silver and the other is gold.” A life theme for me is it is important to keep old friends. I value the shared history. Arna and I first became friends years ago when I was married and had a house in a town about an hour away. Her visit last weekend was special. We had lunch, toured my house and gardens. It was a wonderful day!
