Awhile ago, my 14 year old nephew and I had his great-grandmother (my grandmother-in-law) over for lunch. While over the years I have had her over for tea with her great-grandchildren, it was my first time to make her a themed lunch. While brainstorming for suggestions I asked my husband. He said quilting. His grandmother does enjoy quilting and has made many for her multitudes of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had 9 children! I enjoyed making a focaccia quilt as part of this meal. The great-grandmother was very pleased with our lunch and visit.
