Dance Around the Maypole Bento

Maypole Bento

In celebration of May Day I made this cute dancing around the maypole lunch for my 15 year old niece. She loved it!

I mostly followed these directions to dye the pasta. Other than dying the pasta (which was a little messy), this lunch was fast to prepare.

Container: Kokeshi box

Top Tier: Pecans

Middle Tier: Nishiki rice with dyed Mafaldine pasta and spaghetti for the maypole. I wanted to use linguini for the maypole but decided to use what I had in my pantry. Animal picks are the dancers.

Bottom Tier: Flower shaped cucumber with carrots and lettuce

On the Side: Clementine
