7 Saint Patrick’s Day Lunches

7 St Patricks Day lunches

I like any excuse to make cute themed food. I am particularly excited about St. Patrick’s Day food because of my Irish heritage. Here are 7 ideas for Irish themed lunches all presented in EasyLunchBoxes.

Shamrock Bagel

Container: EasyLunchBoxes

Shamrock: Homemade bagel with green sanding sugar

Fruit: Clementine and kiwi

Nuts: Pistachios

1 Shamrock Onigiri

Container: EasyLunchBoxes

Fruit: Strawberries

Nuts: Walnuts

Salad: Spinach and lettuce leaves with carrot shamrocks, Nishiki rice shamrock (used cookie cutter and plastic wrap to shape), snow pea shamrock

Shamrock Pasta

Container: EasyLunchBoxes

Salad: Lettuce with carrot shamrocks

Pot of Gold: Apricot jam tart with chocolate pie crust baked in mini muffin tins

Pasta: Shamrock pasta with butter and Parmesan cheese, green pepper shamrock

Shamrock Sandwich with Cheese Harp

Container: EasyLunchBoxes

Shamrock Sandwich: Peanut butter and apricot jam sandwich on wheat bread with shamrock cut-out, sugar snap peas

Harp: Cheddar cheese with spaghetti, green M&M’s (this was an experiment – the spaghetti stayed hard and would not be suitable for young children and it is not a good idea to put M&M’s in the same container as cheese – it discolors)

Pretzel sticks

2 Shamrock Onigiri

Container: EasyLunchBoxes

Pumpkin seeds

Apple: Mini shamrock cut into the skin, I put some lemon juice on it to prevent browning

Salad: Spinach and lettuce leaves with carrot shamrocks, Nishiki rice shamrocks (used cookie cutter and plastic wrap to shape), snow pea shamrocks
