This year I have four new heart / Valentine themed meals. My niece made one of them. I have a large collection of heart and Valentine cookie cutters and enjoy using them.
After I made the heart shaped rice, the rest of this meal came together with food I had in the house. I had defrosted frozen sour cherries because I used some for individual sour cherry cobblers (my husband’s favorite).
Left Side: Heart shaped rice balls, sour cherry juice and sour cherries, baby romaine
Top Right: Sour cherries and ricotta
Bottom Right: Tomatoes and feta
My 16 year old niece made this lunch. She cut the lettering out of carrot and dyed the spaghetti brown. She was inspired by a sculpture one of her Uncles made for her Aunt.
Left Side: Pasta with a little butter, carrot, red bell pepper, dyed spaghetti
Top Right: Hershey kisses
Bottom Right: Red grapes on skewers
I have a Cupid cookie cutter that I wanted to use so I made a Cupid quesadilla.
Left Side: Cupid – cheese quesadilla with food marker details, lettuce with shredded carrot and sliced almonds
Top Right: Heart shaped York Peppermint Patties
Bottom Right: Apple slices cut and stamped with this cutter (dipped in lemon juice and water)
I had fun using my collection of heart cookie cutters to make this snack type meal for my husband.
Left Side: Cucumber, Cheddar cheese, peanut butter sandwich on wheat bread, radish
Top Right: Strawberry yogurt with heart sprinkles
Bottom Right: Heart shaped York Peppermint Patties
Very inviting and healthy. Be Blessed, Mtetar
