Roald Dahl Day Bento Blog Hop 2014

Dahl Enormous Crocodile Lunch

I am joining my Bento Bloggers and Friends on this Roald Dahl Day Hop. Please use the button at the end of this post to continue on to see the other Dahl themed lunches in this hop.

When researching books written by Roald Dahl, I found The Enormous Crocodile. As soon as I saw the cover I decided that I wanted to make crocodile shaped spinach bread. I borrowed the book from my library and read it in preparation for making this lunch.

Container: EasyLunchBoxes

Top: Crocodile Spinach and Parmesan bread with string cheese teeth and eyes (food marker pupils), blueberries

Bottom Left: Cucumber slices with “DAHL” letter picks

Bottom Right: Hummus with orange and red bell pepper “kids”. In the story the crocodile wants to eat children.

Please continue on the hop to see Keitha’s fabulous creation at Keitha’s Chaos.

Thank you! I am sorry but I actually do not have a recipe I added some finely chopped spinach and Parmesan cheese after proofing the yeast in the warm water. The recipe needs work and some additional flavor but it shaped and baked nice.
