State Capital Lunch

State Capital Lunch

When I found the States and Capitals Educational Snacks at Whole Foods, I knew that I had to make a state themed lunch. When I was a kid, I was the nerd with the state capital cards trying to teach the other kids in the neighborhood. I made this lunch for my 11 year old niece.

Container: EasyLunchBoxes

States & Capitals: Dick and Jane States & Capitals cookies, toasted white bread cut into state shapes – not to scale (Georgia, Colorado, Tennessee, and Kansas) with Nutella

Vegetable: Fresh from the garden cucumber and cherry tomato

State Fruit Medley: Blackberries (Alabama & Kentucky), blueberries (Maine, New Jersey, North Carolina), and strawberries (Louisiana, North Carolina)

This state themed lunch is like a lesson in Geography. It is fun way to make kids read while they eat. Beautiful lunch!
