Falling Leaves Bento Lunch

On Columbus Day I went on a hike and picnic with my niece (13) and nephew (8). We went to Linear Park in Penfield, NY. It was a beautiful fall day with falling leaves. The hike was fun and our lunches were delicious.

Containers: EasyLunchBoxes and Mini Dippers

Leaves: Tortilla leaves with assorted herbs. I had fun raiding my pantry to find cinnamon, paprika, oregano, basil, and marjoram.

Vegetable: Salsa

Nuts: Almonds

Fruit: Apple and acorn slices with cinnamon

My daughter loves cinnamon on her apple slices, too. But, we haven’t tried the herbs on the tortilla cutouts…thank you for such beautiful inspiration!!! -Venia
