This was an easy and quick lunch made from dinner leftovers.
Container: EasyLunchBoxes
Orzo Salad: Orzo Salad with Chickpeas, Dill, and Lemon from Cooking Light (I used chives from my herb garden instead of the green onions and garlic)
Fruit: Blackberries
Vegetable: Lettuce, cauliflower, tomato, carrot, green pepper, and sugar snap peas

Hi ya. Are you getting special bento-style boxes from anywhere special or are these typical containers you can pick up from the grocery store?
I did get a container from Target recently but I have not posted a bento in it yet. I use the EasyLunchBoxes (pictured in this post) most frequently and they can be ordered from Amazon. I use the Eco Lunchbox occasionally (metal), you can order it from Amazon. I have also used Glad, Sistema, and Ziplock containers that I found in my grocery store. And I even used take out containers a few times. http://www.allthingsforsale.com/ has traditional cute Japanese bento boxes.
Yum… I love orzo salad! Great combination of sides too. 🙂
Thank you Winnie!
A well balanced lunch.
Can I suggest a theme! May be you already have this in mind. Pardon me if I am spoiling the suspense. It is…(drum rolls please) Fairy tale theme! 🙂 Hope you don’t feel offended.
Thank you! Not offended at all. I love it when readers suggest themes! I was planning fairy tales and then ended up doing the lamb nursery rhymes. I have some Tall Tales / Fables planned for the week of Paul Bunyon day at the end of June. I would love to do fairy tales sometime this summer. Do you have a particular tale you would like to see?
Lovely! Yum!
Thank you Jean!
I know you like a challenge, here you go! Red riding hood or Snow white…I guess there is a lot of scope for creativity. If you skip these, it is absolutely okay! Leaving it to your imagination and availability of food stuff.
I love your idea! Thank you!
I love Orzo salad! I will definitely be trying your recipe! Yum!
Thank you!
