Charlie Brown and Lucy Bento

Charlie Brown and Lucy Lunch

Today was Charles Schultz birthday. I was a fan of Peanuts when I was a child. When I found these cookie cutters at Michaels. I knew that I had to use them in a bento lunch. I placed hot cooked Nishiki rice in each cookie cutter with a spoon, then I used plastic wrap to press down to pack the rice. I carefully pushed the rice through the cutter. Charlie Brown was easier than Lucy because he only has one arm.

This was my first time using this set of special cutters for facial features. It worked fine with spinach leaves. I used special tweezers I reserve for food to place the tiny features. I cut some of the features with small scissors.

These were so cute and special to eat!

Container: ECO Lunchboxes

Charlie Brown & Lucy: Cooked Nishiki rice packed in cookie cutters (pushed down with plastic wrap), spinach details

Fruit: Pomegranate seeds

Vegetable: Broccoli, radish, spinach leaves (underneath)

Beans: Chickpeas
