Bald Eagle Bento

When I told my 7 year old nephew that I wanted to make a bird themed bento, he said, “bald eagle”. I looked at photos of bald eagles and then made a template to cut the bread.

The eagle is a peanut butter sandwich made out of Wegmans Italiano and Pumpernickel bread. The eye is a dried blueberry. The beak is Cheddar cheese.

Bald eagles lay 1 – 3 eggs. Of course my nephew wanted 3 dark chocolate Dove eggs.

We cut the cucumber to resemble fish (food for the bald eagle). A clementine rounds out the meal.

My nephew enjoyed this healthy and fun lunch!
